Humans, Not Chess Pieces!
For Refugee Week culminating in World Refugee Day on 20.6.2020, we want to raise awareness about the horrors refugees have to endure across our borders, being used as pawns in political games.
For Refugee Week culminating in World Refugee Day on 20.6.2020, we want to raise awareness about the horrors refugees have to endure across our borders, being used as pawns in political games.
We hereby invite you to use your artistic powers to support refugees struggling at our borders!
On the occasion of Refugee Week culminating in World Refugee Day (Saturday, 20.6.2020), Josoor wants to raise awareness about the horrors refugees have to endure in and across our borders; being used as pawns in political games. We also hope to generate new donations for Josoor, so we can continue with our support for as many people as possible.
As art has always been intertwined with politics, we want to encourage artists of all genres to express their solidarity with those who are fleeing violence and persecution in search for a life in safety and dignity.
At least three people have been shot and killed, and countless others have been severely beaten, injured or drowned both in Evros and the Aegean sea.
The slogan for our campaign will be #NotChessPieces in order to point out how the EU and Turkey are playing with human lives at their joint border in their political power game.
We need to stop this madness - so help us raise awareness with your work!
Please share this brief with all the artists you know who might be interested!
